The University Grants Commission of the Ministry of Education (India) recognized Alliance University as a non-profit private institution of higher learning when it was created in the State of Karnataka by Act No. 34 of 2010. (MoE). Under the auspices of its premier member colleges Alliance School of Business, Alliance College of Engineering and Design, Alliance School of Law, Alliance Ascent College, Alliance School of Liberal Arts, and the Alliance School of Applied Mathematics, the academy conducts undergraduate and postgraduate, and doctoral programs in the subject areas of business, engineering, technology, liberal arts, applied mathematics, commerce, law, and executive education.
