Admission Requirements to study BSc in Biology in the USA

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

  • A high school degree with subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, English, and social or history.
  • SAT or ACT score requirements are suspended for 2021/2022 applicants but can be sent.
  • TOEFL score of at least 90 overall, IELTS score of at least 7.0, or PTE score of at least 65.

University of California - Los Angeles Campus

  • For applicants from India, both grade X and grade XII board exams must be cleared with an average mark of more than 70 and none below 60. For applicants from an unspecified country, a high school degree is required during which all the required coursework has been completed.
  • TOEFL score of 100 overall with no less than 22 in each section, IELTS score of 7, or Duolingo score of 120 or more.

New York University

  • A high school degree, school leaving certificate, or diploma.
  • TOEFL score of more than 100 overall, IELTS score of 7.5 or above, or PTE score of 70 or above.
  • Standardized test scores such as SAT or ACT are optional for 2021/2022 applications.

University of Washington

  • The self-reported yearly course works of graduate school along with unofficial scanned copies of the certificates or transcripts. The Biology primary students must reapply once they have completed supporting course works in the university.
  • The minimum TOEFL score required for admission consideration is 76 overall, an IELTS score of 6.0, or a PTE Duolingo score of 105.
  • SAT or ACT score is not required.

Michigan State University

  • High-school transcripts and certificates

  • Official transcripts of high school or secondary school.
