MMS is a two-year PG degree that offers advanced general management knowledge. Anyone with a UG degree in management or another discipline can study it. The course aims to give the students managerial and leadership abilities.
The institutes in Maharashtra are currently offering this programme, which is relatively new in India. The results obtained on the entrance exam are used to determine admission.
The institutes consider the results of aptitude examinations like the CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, etc. The most popular exam taken into account by the Institute of Maharashtra is MHT-CET.
The institutes that provide the training charge annual tuition of between 50,000 and 5,00,000 Indian rupees on average. IIT Bombay, KJ SIM, TIMSR Mumbai, and other institutions are just a few that provide MMS courses.
The course covers human research management, financial accounting, operations management, managerial economics, marketing management, and business research methods. Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Information Systems, and Operations are the five specialisations available for the course.
Despite being a distinct field of study, the MMS course is occasionally mistaken for the MBA. It is intended for recent graduates who want to learn more about management studies or change their field to management studies.
After completing the MMS program, applicants can obtain employment with MNCs, banks, business consulting businesses, marketing and advertising agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, and export firms. The program includes management trainee roles, financial service analysts, sales executives, and other entry-level management positions.

Top MMS Colleges in India: Career and Job Scope
The candidates have two options after completing the MMS course: they can either hunt for employment or pursue further education.
Since MMS graduates can be hired for entry-level management positions at cheap salaries and have nearly identical knowledge to MBA graduates, there is a high demand for them. For MMS graduates, several roles are available in Fortune 500 firms, start-ups, and small businesses.
Because it is a broad subject, graduates can find employment in various industries, including technology, finance, consulting, banking, etc. Despite having a lower degree than MBA, MMS is a postgraduate program that can still be beneficial after about five years of work experience. A candidate who wants to pursue a career in research or as a professor can enrol in doctoral programs after completing a postgraduate program.
The MMS graduates can find employment in MNCs, banks, business consulting firms, marketing and advertising agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, export businesses, and financial institutions.
Without any prior experience, MMS graduates can quickly find entry-level positions. Compared to the unique employment roles only open to MBS graduates, these jobs are more prevalent.
MMS graduates are not chosen for roles in higher levels of an organisation. However, there is a significant need for MMS graduates in emerging industries for many additional managerial positions.
They can begin their careers as management trainees, financial services analysts, etc. After five to ten years of work experience, they can advance to management positions in business development, marketing, analytics, etc.
An MMS graduate might anticipate a yearly salary of between INR 4 and 8 lahks. They can expect to make about INR 15 lakh after five years of experience and INR 30 lakh after nine to nineteen years.
