To study Master of Mass Communication and Media in India, students need to pass a 3-year bachelor's degree in any stream
Though a Bachelor's degree in journalism, mass media or mass communication is preferred, it’s not mandatory to have these degrees to study master's of communication or a related degree in India.

The application form for IIMC Entrance Exam will be released in the first week of April 2022. This is a computer-based test conducted by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC).
Colleges accepting this entrance exam to offer admission to the masters level are- IIMC Delhi, IIMC Amravati, IIMC Jammu, IIMC Kottayam, IIMC Aizawl, and IIMC Dhenkanal.

XIC OET (Xavier Institute of Communication Online Entrance Test) is the entrance exam you must appear on if you wish to apply for PG Diploma courses in Mass communication offered by the Xavier Institute of Communication.
The application forms for XIC OET 2022 will be released in the first week of March 2022. This exam is conducted annually and is 1.5 hours long. The objective section is 1 hour long (100 marks), and the subjective section is 30 minutes long (50 marks).
The application fee for XIC OET is INR 3,500.
Students are offered admission based on XIC OET Results, personal interviews and group discussions.
