The AFCAT AFSB Interview process spans five days, as described below:
Day 1: Report to the railway station of the designated city around 6.45-7 AM. Latecomers will not be allowed to participate. You will then be taken to the interview centre by provided bus transportation. Upon arrival, a senior member will welcome you, and you'll need to fill out a form followed by a quick breakfast. The OIR Test is the first interview round, followed by the PPDT test. Results will be announced in the afternoon. Successful candidates proceed to document verification, while others are sent back. Later that day, selected candidates undergo an extended psychological test lasting 4-5 hours.
Day 2, 4, and 5: You will have the GTO (Group Testing Officer) and interview sessions on any of these days. There is a possibility of having the interview on the same day as the GTO. Bring your academic mark sheets, certificates, and other documents for the interview. The interview's duration is typically between 30 to 60 minutes. The GTO test comprises nine activities: Individual obstacles, Command Task, Military Planning Exercise, Progressive Group Task, Group Discussion, Final Group Task, Half Group Task, Snake Race, and Lecturette.
Day 5: This is the Conference Day, where all members and officers will wear their Army uniforms. The results will be declared on Day 5, and selected candidates will proceed with other formalities while the remaining candidates will be asked to leave.
Medical: The medical test is not conducted immediately after selection. You will be given a date and must appear at the Air Force Central Medical Establishment (New Delhi) or the Institute of Aerospace Medicine (Bangalore) on the allotted date.
