DASA (Direct Admission of Students Abroad) is a scheme commenced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Govt. of India for several UG and PG courses.
DASA helps candidates to join India's top-rated Engineering, architecture, Design & Management Institutions.
Admission is available for UG programs such as B.Tech and PG courses such as M.Tech and MBA. Institutions like NITs, IITs, CFITs, DTU, SPA, and others are working under DASA.
The Technical Institutions that are part of DASA 2023 are the best in the country. Because of their effective research and teaching approaches, the institutions have established a name for themselves while offering students ground-breaking job options.
All of the institutions involved are self-contained. Furthermore, an Act of Parliament designated the NITs and IIITs as Institutes of National Importance and the other institutions as Deemed Universities. A degree from one of these prestigious colleges provides students with excellent employment options in design, engineering, and technology and helps them achieve significant merit and reputation.

Merit list
The exam conducting body is responsible for preparing a merit list online. The merit list for all undergraduate courses will be created solely based on total scores. Those with suitable SAT scores from the College Board will be regarded as eligible for the merit list and the seat allotment procedure by MNNIT Allahabad.
The PG course merit list is based solely on cumulative GMAT/ GRE scores. Based on JEE Main results, a merit list would be prepared for UG Engineering admission. Candidates with suitable GRE/ GMAT scores from MNNIT Allahabad will be deemed valid for the merit list and seat allocation procedure.
Selection Process
The selection procedure for UG courses will be done in four rounds, while the process for PG programmes will be done in two rounds. Only qualified candidates will be deemed legitimate for the first round and must confirm their choice.
Those participating in Round 1 will have two options: accept or decline the allotted seat. Once candidates accept, students will be allocated to a course/institute, and a temporary allocation letter will be created.
If candidates refuse, their rights to future seat allotment in rounds 2 and 3 are forfeited. Candidates will, after that, be eligible for rounds 4 and 5.
Those picked for round 1 or round 1 will be selected for round 2, and the same procedure will be repeated for round 3. Undergraduate candidates will submit the necessary SAT subject exam result for the fourth round.
