Admission Process for Bachelor of Political Science in India

The exact steps for the admission process could differ from institute to institute. Nevertheless, this is a summary of the entire process for students. 

Eligibility

To be eligible for admission, students must first meet the following criteria. 

  • Students must pass +2 level (any discipline like humanities, sciences, management etc.) from a recognized board in India or its international equivalent with a minimum of 50%. 
  • If the institution you are applying for conducts an entrance examination, applicants need to sit on the entrance test and atleast attain the cut-off scores. 
  • If you are an international student from an English-non-speaking country, some universities like Christ University could ask for IELTS Score. The minimum IELTS score is 6.0, with no band score less than 5.5

  • Entrance Results if the institute asks for an entrance test to offer admission. 

Documents needed at the time of admission for foreign nationals

If you are NRI / PIO / OCI / SAARC / AFRICA / ASEAN / or a national of any other country, these are the additional documents you need to submit to study for a BA in Political Science in India. 

  1. Copy of Passport and Visa Details (Mandatory).
  2. PIO / OCI must produce a copy of the PIO / OCI card, whichever is applicable (Mandatory).
