Bachelor of Engineering in India: Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates must pass the class 12 exam from a recognized board in India or abroad with PCM- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics- as core subjects. 
  • Applicants must score at least 60% in intermediate level/ +2.
  • Candidates must appear on the respective entrance test depending on the college or board they are applying to. 

Bachelor of Engineering Entrance exams

      • JEE Main is one of the most popular engineering entrance exams in India. 
      • It is conducted by National  Testing Agency (NTA). 
      • It is conducted once a year by the seven zonal IITs with guidance from the Joint Admission Board (JAB).
      • To be eligible to appear in JEE Advanced, you must top 2.5 Lakhs rank holders of JEE Main. 
  • BITSAT
  • It is conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS)
      • Students need to take BITSAT Exam to study in programs offered by BITS Campuses.
      • It is a computer-based test
      • It is generally conducted in August
  • VITEEE
      • Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT) conducts VITEEE to provide admission to BTech Programmes.    
  • SRMJEEE
      • SRM Institute of Science & Technology conducts SRMJEEE to offer admission to BTech Programs. 
  • COMEDK
      • The consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka conducts COMEDK Undergraduate Entrance Test (GET).

  • KIITEE
      • KIITEE is conducted by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology, Bhubaneswar to offer admission in undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

      • WBJEE stands for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. 
      • It is conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB)
