PID DAT 2023 refers to the admission process for the Bachelor of Design (BDes) course at Parul Institute of Design (PID) in India. PID is currently accepting applications for admission to this course, and the last date to submit the application form is February 6, 2023. It is important to note that the application form must be submitted online. Before submitting the form, candidates must meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.

PID DAT is an entrance exam conducted by the Parul Institute of Design (PID) every year to offer admission to candidates in Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes. The exam consists of three stages, which are as follows:

  • DAT written test
  • Portfolio review round
  • Personal interview

All three stages of the exam are conducted online mode only. Candidates who clear all three phases of PID DAT are offered admission to the BDes programmes at PID.

The PID DAT 2023 entrance exam will be conducted on February 16, 2023, ten days after the last date to submit the application form. The exam will be conducted in both online and offline modes to provide flexibility to the candidates. Preparing well for the exam and ensuring you are familiar with the exam pattern and syllabus is essential.

The online exam will be conducted in remote-proctored mode, which means that candidates can take the exam from the comfort of their homes or any other place with a stable internet connection. The exam will be monitored through a webcam and microphone to ensure that the exam is conducted fairly.

The offline exam will be conducted in a traditional pen-and-paper format, and candidates must report to the exam centre on time with the necessary documents. On the other hand, the offline exam will be conducted in 21 centres across India. Candidates who prefer to take the exam offline can choose the centre that is most convenient for them.

PID DAT Eligibility

Candidates must fulfil the requirements listed below to be eligible for the PID DAT in 2023:

  • English is required in Class 12 in any of the Humanities, Commerce, or Sciences streams.
  • Pass the grade 12 exam given by a governmental testing organisation.

PID DAT Admission Process

The steps in the PID DAT admission process are as follows:

Step 1: Complete the PID DAT application form

Applicants can submit their PID DAT applications online through Parul University's admissions website. There is a Rs 1,000 PID DAT application fee. Applicants may use a credit or debit card to pay the application fee online.

Step 2: Get login information

The Parul Institute of Design does not give candidates PID DAT admission cards. Yet the institute sends out login information for the online DAT via email, SMS, or phone call. The institute also administers two practice exams before the exam to help applicants get used to the paper's online format.

Step 3: Take the PID DAT written examination

Candidates must then login using the provided credentials to the online WAC (World Assessment Council) portal, where the test will be given. Candidates have three hours to complete the 100 objective-type questions on the PID DAT exam. Read more: PID DAT exam format.

Step 4: Appear for the PID portfolio round

All candidates who pass the written exam must next show up for the portfolio portion. Candidates must email their portfolios to the provided email addresses in this case.

Step 5: Attend a face-to-face interview

All applicants whose portfolios are selected for shortlisting must next show up for the personal interview, the test's final round. The Parul Institute of Design will conduct the personal interview rounds online.

Step 6: Verify the PID DAT ultimate result

Based on each round of the admissions process, the PID DAT result will be published on the official website.

FAQs About PID DAT

Does PID accept results from entrance exams like NATA for admission to the BDes program?

PID does not accept the results of any other entrance exam. It solely provides BDes admissions via PID DAT.

Is the PID DAT the same for applicants from India and abroad?

PID DAT is required of all applicants to Parul Institute of Design for BDes admissions.

Is it required to show up for every round of the PID DAT?

All PID DAT entrance rounds must be attended, including the online test, portfolio, and personal interview.

Can I submit more than one PID admissions application?
