Industrial visit to Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Ltd (KSDL)

In October 2022, ABBS School of Management arranged an industrial visit to Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Ltd (KSDL) in Bengaluru for its management students. KSDL is a well-known FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) company owned by the government, which produces a range of products, including soaps, detergents, and other personal care items. One of its most popular products is the MYSORE SANDAL SOAP, made from the purest sandalwood oil. Visit the Akshaya Patra Foundation

The management students of ABBS also had the chance to visit the Akshaya Patra Foundation, an NGO headquartered in Bengaluru. The foundation works towards ending classroom hunger by implementing the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in government-funded and government-run schools. In addition, it supports children from low socio-economic backgrounds in their pursuit of education and fights against malnutrition. Thanks to its collaborations with the Government of India, state governments, and corporates, Akshaya Patra has grown from serving just 1,500 students in 5 schools in 2000 to 1.9 million students today, making it the most extensive mid-day meal program in the world managed by a non-profit organisation.
