An exam for English language competence developed and administered by Pearson VUE is the Pearson Test of English Academic. The PTE Academic test was explicitly created to evaluate and confirm language use and communication tasks in academic contexts at the university level.
Many universities, colleges, and even nations dealing with immigration accept the PTE Academic. The PTE Academic only evaluates a candidate's fundamental comprehension of English and is not a test of in-depth English knowledge.
The two-hour PTE Syllabus test measures students' ability to comprehend the daily language rather than their proficiency with high-level English. The PTE exam's multi-level grading structure guarantees a better comprehension of the student's English language skills.
The PTE Academic scores can be used to meet the English language competence requirements for several undergraduate and graduate programs across the country, the US, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
The Secure English Language Test (SELT), required for anyone seeking to enter the UK with a VISA, is accepted by the UK VISA immigration department as PTE.
Why take the PTE Exam?
