PTE Exam 2023: Fees, Dates, Pattern, Eligibility, Registration, Results & Scores for PTE Exam
Ashma Shrestha

An exam for English language competence developed and administered by Pearson VUE is the Pearson Test of English Academic. The PTE Academic test was explicitly created to evaluate and confirm language use and communication tasks in academic contexts at the university level.

Many universities, colleges, and even nations dealing with immigration accept the PTE Academic. The PTE Academic only evaluates a candidate's fundamental comprehension of English and is not a test of in-depth English knowledge.

The two-hour PTE Syllabus test measures students' ability to comprehend the daily language rather than their proficiency with high-level English. The PTE exam's multi-level grading structure guarantees a better comprehension of the student's English language skills.

The PTE Academic scores can be used to meet the English language competence requirements for several undergraduate and graduate programs across the country, the US, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.

The Secure English Language Test (SELT), required for anyone seeking to enter the UK with a VISA, is accepted by the UK VISA immigration department as PTE.

Why take the PTE Exam?

  • PTE is more widely accepted across nations and continents, including Europe, the United States, Australia, and Asia.
  • Less waiting and speedier results for test-takers.
  • The test is computer-delivered and computer-scored, eliminating any possibility of human error.
  • You can schedule a test 24 hours in advance, making it handy.
  • As the PTE exam is based on applying the English language at the university level, preparation for it can help you in your international academic career.
  • New Zealand and Australian visas both require a PTE score.

PTE Exam Fee

The cost of the PTE Academic exam is Rs 14,700 on average. A PTE Delayed Booking Fee must be paid if the candidate schedules his PTE exam less than 48 hours before the PTE test date.

A 25% additional charge must be paid for rescheduling the PTE exams seven days from the original date; the total registration price must be paid for postponing the PTE test day within one week of the original test date.

Candidates who register after the deadline must also pay a late booking charge of INR 695.
