Eligibility Criteria

  • To pursue a BTech in Marine Engineering in India, a candidate must have passed their 10+2 or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 
  • The candidate must have secured a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate in these subjects. 
  • Apart from this, candidates must also meet the age criteria set by the respective institutes. 
  • Generally, the minimum age requirement is 17 years, and the maximum is 25 years.

Admission Process

  • The admission process for BTech in Marine Engineering in India is through a Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) or an All India Common Entrance Test (CET). 
  • The JEE is conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and is considered the country's most prestigious engineering entrance exam. 
  • The All India CET is conducted by the Indian Maritime University (IMU), a central university that offers courses in the field of maritime studies. 
  • The IMU has several affiliated colleges that offer BTech in Marine Engineering courses.

Course Curriculum
