MBBS in Canada: Academic Requirements

Univerity of Toronto

  • By the end of April, in the year that you intend to begin the MD Program, you must have finished at least three years of study (15 full-course equivalents) toward a bachelor's degree from a Canadian university in any field.
  • Before enrollment in the MD Program, you must finish all degree requirements and provide documentation of your success.
  • Only MCAT scores obtained five years before the application deadline will be considered.
  • GPA of 3.66

McGill University

  • Successful candidates frequently have DegGPAs above 3.5. (average approximately 3.8). DegGPAs under 3.4 is hardly ever regarded as competitive for applicants.
  • To be competitive, MCAT test takers must achieve a total score of 508-509+ or an overall score in the 80%-ile (or higher) on the 2015 version.

McMaster University

  • For applicants from outside of Alberta, a 3.50 on a 4.0 scale cGPA is the minimal requirement for eligibility to apply.
  • To apply, applicants must send the Office of the Registrar official transcripts from every post-secondary institution they have ever attended.
