Application Requirement

Admission Requirements

The specific requirement to get entry into an MA in Canada could differ slightly or drastically depending on the university and major. Nevertheless, this is what the general entry requirements look like-

English Requirements: The English proficiency scores requirement are: 

  • IELTS: Overall 6.5- 7.5, minimum scores of 6.0.
  • TOEFL: Overall 80-110, minimum scores of 20-25. 
  • PTE: Overall 60-70, minimum scores of 60.

Academic Requirements: 

  • To be eligible to study Master of Arts in Canada, students need to pass Bachelor's degree in Arts or Science in Education with a relevant course/ major/ specialisation. 
  • A Canadian 4 year Bachelor's degree or its international equivalent is asked. 
  • A minimum GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale is asked.  
  • For some thesis-based MA programs, students need to secure a potential supervisor.
