    The 215-acre (0.9 km2) Springfield campus of Western New England University is made up of 24 significant buildings as well as various sports and recreation areas. There are seven academic buildings and ten housing halls or complexes.     Western New England University accepts students on three intakes a year. Fall intake in July, winter intake in November and summer intake in April.

    Scholarships

    The merit-based scholarships and grants offered by Western New England University range from $15,000 to $29,000 yearly or $60,000 to $116,000 over four years.

    These are given to first-year students enrolled full-time when accepted into the university. In addition, the University provides grants and scholarships based on financial need and prior academic success. These scholarships don't require separate applications.

    Merit scholarships 

    Western New England University offers four types of merit scholarships via the Merit Scholarships Program: Presidential Scholars Awards, Provost's Scholar Awards, Dean's Scholar Awards, and Trustee's Scholar Awards. Test results from the SAT or ACT and a revised GPA are used to determine awards (GPA).

    Success Grants

    Academic scholarship applicants are given priority for Success Grants, awarded without regard to financial need. If a student has good academic standing, is enrolled full-time, and is making Satisfactory Academic Progress, the funds are automatically renewed.

    Transfer Distinction Award

    The Transfer Distinction Award ensures students the maximum transfer scholarship of $20,000 per year for students joining in the spring of 2023 and $25,000 per year for those entering in the autumn of 2023 if they hold an associate degree from an authorised institution.

    Transfer Merit Scholarship

    Full-time transfer students who enter with at least 12 transfer credits are eligible for yearly transfer scholarships. If a student is making Satisfactory Academic Progress, is enrolled full-time, and has excellent academic standing, the scholarship is automatically renewed.

    International Students Scholarship

    The same merit-based scholarships are available to domestic and international students. If the international student is in good standing academically, enrolled full-time, and achieving Satisfactory Academic Progress, the scholarship is automatically renewed.

    Application Process

    Freshman Applicants

    • Official High School Transcript: For candidates still in high school, an official transcript up to their junior year must be delivered to the address shown below. Some students might need to submit their grades from their senior year.
    • SATs not Required: If a student chooses to submit SAT I or ACT results, they may do so from their high school transcript or by requesting an official copy from the testing organisation. The ACT code for Western New England University is 1930, while the SAT code is 3962.
    • A letter of recommendation is not required.

    Transfer Students 

    Official College Transcript(s): Students must present official transcripts for all the attempted college work (AP, IB, and CLEP credits are not considered part of the 24 credits). If not, the graduation transcript or GED score report (photocopies will not be accepted).

    International Applicants

    • Official Secondary and College Transcripts: Official secondary school transcript(s) and, if possible, an official transcript of the current grades and an English translation of the document(s).
