The University of Montana in Missoula, Montana, USA, is a government land-grant, public research university. The university is one of the Montana University System's premier institutions.

In 1895, the first group of structures were constructed around the oval. Since then, many campus layouts and architectural designs have been employed. Mount Sentinel to the east and the Clark Fork River to the north encircle the 220 acres (89 hectares) that make up the campus. The university's main campus comprises 64 structures, including nine residential halls and several sports arenas, notably the 7,500-seat Adams Center (previously Dahlberg Arena), where basketball games are held, and Washington-Grizzly Stadium, a football stadium with a capacity of 26,500.

Continuing Student Scholarship

Only continuing students are eligible for any of the several awards administered by the Financial Aid Office. Most students will be required to write thank you letters to the people who donated their particular scholarships because these scholarships are made possible by the kind donations of UM alums. If this is necessary, students will be informed at the time of selection.

The following conditions must be satisfied by applicants:

• First-year bachelor's degree program.
• Own 12 or more UM-graded credits.
• Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. (some scholarships have higher GPA requirements).
• Financial need and FAFSA submission by March 1, 2022, are prerequisites for need-based scholarships.

Eligibility for Admission:

The following requirements must be met for an applicant to be accepted as a student at the University of Montana:

• A 2.5 minimum GPA on a 4.0 scale is required for all introductory courses, including transfer coursework.
• English proficiency scores requirements listed by the school and department should be met.
• Evidence of high school graduation specific to the prior university must be presented.
