Ensuring health and safety in the workplace has evolved from the traditional role of accident prevention and protection of individual employees, to now include safety management systems, risk assessment, risk reduction and risk control techniques. Â
Modern approaches to occupational safety and health are as much, if not more, about fostering a safe and healthy work culture amongst the workforce as about setting out prescriptive measures.Â
