This course prepares students who are passionate about fashion to enter a dynamic, fast moving, innovative industry. You will create original content and solve problems across a range of media, learning how to combine marketing expertise with creative skill provide the platform for successful communication.

You will experience a range of communication methods exploring the importance of brand identity, consumer psychology, fashion photography, creative direction, digital marketing, emerging concepts, innovation and the role of fashion in society. You will develop practical professional experience through short internships or a 12-month work placement at the end of your second year.
Previous Fashion Promotion students and graduates have launched their careers at John Lewis, Topshop, Next, Hussein Chalayan, River Island, Holy Grail Beauty, Harvey Nichols, whilst others have carved out enterprising careers as freelancers and new business start ups.

Projects will expose you to the practicalities of project management, social media strategy, creative direction, and communication design and strategy. During the first year, emphasis is on visualisation techniques, research methods and the creative process. You will also be introduced to marketing theory, social media strategies and branding.

In the second year of the Fashion Promotion degree, you will progress to larger, industry-led projects on specific areas such as omni-channel media strategy, fashion journalism and writing style, photography, styling and editing and creative direction.

In the final year of the Fashion Promotion degree, the major project focuses on your personal area of interest and expertise through a highly creative, industry-standard project that will demonstrate your knowledge, skills and ability to potential employers.
