Programme Objectives The Diploma in Optometry program at OSGU’s School of Paramedical Sciences (SPMS) has the following program objectives. To focus on fundamental research and applications of Optometry To develop the skills among the students to make them excel in Optometry niche To impart effective knowledge and develop scientific research skills in Optometry To assist the students in research and analysis endeavors in the realm of Optometry Programme Outcomes The Diploma in Optometry program will equip the students with the fundamental and intricate understanding and skills of diagnosis, therapeutic and prophylactic aspects of diseases related to the ophthalmic system. They can pursue their career as optometrists or technicians in the hospitals and health organizations dealing with surgical eye care, diagnosis and treatment of eye, plastic surgery.
