One of the most popular courses for students after 10+2 is BMM or Bachelor of mass media. BMM is a three-year undergraduate course covering various communication mediums, including newspapers, television, radio, and the Internet. Additionally, candidates can choose a speciality, such as journalism, advertising, or public relations.

During the program's first two years, candidates receive theoretical and practical training, and during the final year, they must complete internships or on-the-job training. Depending on the institute, candidates may also be able to select a speciality after their second year, such as journalism, advertising, or public relations.

Candidates must have completed their 10+2 course with a minimum aggregate of 50% or higher from an approved board to be considered for this course. The candidate may be admitted to this program based on merit or entrance requirements. The college or university is ultimately accountable for this.

The average cost of the Bachelor of Mass Media program is between INR 1,50,000 and INR 10,000,000. Candidates can choose scholarships, though, to receive fee reductions. Government colleges may charge lower fees than private or deemed colleges.

The B.M.M. syllabus instructs candidates on all important media-related topics and provides knowledge of every facet of the industry. Candidates are introduced to foundational subjects like communication skills, economics, sociology, psychology, marketing and management, introduction to literature, and more in the first-year curriculum.

The second year offers core classes like advertising, journalism, media studies, radio & tv, culture studies, creative writing, and more. Candidates had to pick one of the two electives from journalism or advertising in their final year.

For young people in India today, a lucrative media career exists, and those with a BMM degree have access to various job opportunities.

The BMM curriculum equips students with the technical abilities, aptitude for research, oral communication skills, and presentation skills needed to succeed in the media industry.

BMM students earn between INR 10,000 and INR 25,000 monthly as their starting pay. With more experience and depending on the medium or media platform, their salaries may rise to INR 50,000 and higher.

A bachelor's degree in mass media is a good choice for students who excel in communication and are interested in careers in the newspaper, electronic, or digital media as journalists, news anchors, radio or video jockeys, public relations professionals, corporate communicators, or in advertising.
