The MAH CET MBA exam is one of Maharashtra's most popular MBA entrance exams. It is taken by approximately 100,000 candidates each year to secure admission to MBA/MMS programs at top management colleges in the state.

The MAH CET, MBA question paper, consists of 200 multiple-choice questions covering logical reasoning, abstract reasoning, quantitative ability, verbal ability and reading comprehension.

The exam is conducted online and has a duration of 150 minutes. With two months left until the exam, it is essential to use your time wisely and follow a structured plan to maximise your chances of success. Here are 10 tips to help you crack the MAH MBA CET 2023 in 60 days:

Chart out a MAH CET preparation plan:

It is essential to create a preparation plan for the MAH CET exam. This plan should include weekly and daily targets based on the exam pattern and syllabus. The MAH CET syllabus is similar to other MBA entrance exams, so you should be familiar with the topics that will be covered.

To create a preparation plan, you should first look at the syllabus and assess the number of topics you need to cover, the number of days you have to prepare, and the number of hours you can dedicate to studying. Based on this information, you can create a plan that outlines what you will learn each day and week leading up to the exam. This plan will help you stay organised and focused as you prepare for the MAH CET.

Break the prep plan into phases:

Breaking your preparation plan for the MAH CET exam into phases is a good idea, which can help you stay organised and focused. One way to do this is to divide the 60 days you have available into two steps, with the first month focused on covering the syllabus and tying up any loose ends from your previous experience with entrance exams and the second month focused on practising mock tests and revision.

Create a weekly plan for each of these months, dedicating one week to each exam section in the first month and dividing your study hours in the second month between mock tests and analysis and topic-wise revision. This phased approach can help you stay on track and ensure that you are making progress towards your goal of performing well on the MAH CET.

Focus more on weak areas:

It is essential to focus on your weak areas when preparing for the MAH CET exam. This can help you avoid losing points on the same topics as in other entrance exams. With the exam being conducted in March, you have two more months to work on your weak areas and improve your performance.

For example, if you struggle with reading comprehension (RC), you can try reading various RC passages to improve your skills. If you have difficulty with quantitative topics, you can dedicate more time to understanding essential concepts and practice more problems. Staying focused and motivated can also help you make the most of your study time and improve your performance on the MAH CET.

Continue improvising on your strengths:

While it is essential to focus on your weak areas when preparing for the MAH CET exam, it is also important not to neglect your strengths. Continuing to work on and improve your muscles can help you build confidence and perform well on the exam. One way to do this is to set aside a small amount of time each day to revise concepts and solve sample questions in the areas where you are already strong.

This can help you stay up-to-date on essential concepts and maintain your skills while also allowing you to focus on improving your weaknesses. By continuing to work on your strengths, you can give yourself the best chance of success on the MAH CET.

Refer to MAH CET books and study material:

It is a good idea to refer to specific MAH CET books and study materials when preparing for the exam. While CAT books are an excellent general resource for MBA exam preparation, the syllabus for the MAH CET is slightly different, and some topics or types of questions are exclusive to the MAH CET.

Using materials specifically designed for the MAH CET, you can ensure that you cover all of the necessary material and focus on the most important concepts. Some recommended books for the MAH CET include:

  • MAH CET MBA 2022 Exam Practice Workbook
  • MAH CET MBA 2022 Exam Topic-wise Solved Papers
  • MAH CET MBA 2022 Exam Guide

Using these or other MAH CET-specific books and study materials can help you effectively prepare for the exam and increase your chances of success.

Practice mocks are analysed for each performance:

Practising mock tests is essential to preparing for an entrance exam quickly. Since you are dedicating only two months to preparing for the MAH CET, it is necessary to start practising mock tests as soon as possible. You can practice a mock test daily and then analyse your performance to see your progress. You can begin with sectional mocks and then move on to full-length MAH CET mocks as you get closer to the exam date.

By practising mock tests and analysing your performance, you can get a sense of your strengths and weaknesses, identify areas where you need to improve and develop strategies for tackling different questions. This can help you feel more confident and prepared when it comes time to take the actual MAH CET exam.

Download MBA exam prep apps:

There are a variety of MBA exam preparation apps available that can be useful for helping you prepare for the MAH CET. These apps can provide access to practice tests, puzzles, sample questions, and other resources to help you improve your skills and knowledge. Many of these apps also offer forums or other forms of support where you can ask questions and get help with any issues you face.

Additionally, you can find MBA CET preparation videos on YouTube that can help you learn new concepts or review important material. By downloading these apps and accessing online resources, you can make the most of your study time and get the support you need to succeed on the MAH CET.

Reach out to mentors and peers:

If you are struggling with a particular concept or question while preparing for the MAH CET, it is essential to avoid getting too bogged down or spending too much time trying to figure it out on your own. Instead, you can reach out to mentors or friends who may be able to help you. For example, you can post your question on an online forum or ask a tutor or teacher for assistance.

It can also be helpful to keep in touch with your peers and share ideas, shortcuts, and tricks. Collaborating with others allows you to get a different perspective on the material and find new ways to approach challenging concepts. This can be especially useful when you are trying to prepare for an exam within a short timeframe.

Make short notes:

It can be helpful to make short notes while preparing for the MAH CET exam. These notes can include significant findings, tricks, shortcuts, and formulae while studying a particular topic or solving a question.

By making these notes, you can create a reference guide that you can use to review key concepts and jog your memory during the exam. You can also revise these notes in the last few days before the exam to help solidify your understanding of the material. Making short notes can effectively organise and retain critical information and help you perform better on the MAH CET.

Devote time to section-wise revision:

During the second month of your preparation for the MAH CET exam, it is important to devote time to revising all of the topics and concepts you have studied. You can create a day-wise revision plan for each exam section and use it to review the material systematically.

You can also refer to the notes you made earlier to help you review the key points. Proper revision in the last few days before the exam can be beneficial, as it can help you solidify your understanding of the material and boost your confidence on exam day. By devoting time to section-wise revision, you can ensure that you are thoroughly prepared for the MAH CET and give yourself the best chance of success.
